This makes The Last of Us Part 2 the fastest-selling PS4 exclusive ever.

The Last of Us Part 2 is finally here, having released back on June 19. Despite only being out for a week, it's already breaking records. Today, PlayStation and Naughty Dog announced that The Last of Us Part 2 has sold over 4 million copies. This makes it the fastest-selling PS4 exclusive ever, dethroning Marvel's Spider-Man, which sold 3.3 million copies at launch.

Neil Druckmann, Naughty Dog vice president and creative director of the game, said that "The Last of Us Part II was made possible thanks to the efforts of the hundreds of talented and passionate developers here at Naughty Dog. We can imagine no greater honor than seeing that same passion mirrored by the people playing it. Thank you for helping us reach this amazing milestone."
